Admission Criteria • Overall GPA of 3.0 or better in all college course work • Completion of ENGL101 equivalent (ENG1010) • Completion of a distributive studies course in Humanities/Arts or Social/Behavior Sciences • Completion of the following with a 2.0 or better • Equivalent of MATH141 (MTH1210) • Equivalent of PHYS161 (PHY1210) • Equivalent of CHEM113 (CHE1210/1210L) • Only one of these courses can be repeated and can only be repeated once

Tuition Cost • Cost of UMD tuition (from Fall 2008 - Spring 2009) Full time tuition: $3283.00 Fees:$719.45 Total: $4002.45 • Summer Tuition (based on Winter 2009 session tuition & fees) $273 per credit hour For ME: $1638 For AE: $2457 Mandatory Session Fee: $75 • Scholarship benefits of this program $4,500 per semester $13,500 per year

General Education/CORE Requirements for ENGR • 24 credits required • ENGL101 (3 credits) • Professional Writing (3 credits) • Humanities & the Arts (9 credits) • Social Science & History (9 credits) Only 3 CORE can be taken at CSM; Other 3 CORE need to be taken at UMD or another 4 year institution
Acceptable vs. Applicable and what that means for you • Acceptable credits are those transfer credits that UM has accepted from any transfer institutions you have attended • Applicable credits are those acceptable transfer credits that the School of Engineering has applied to satisfy a major or CORE requirement toward your degree • CHEM1200 is not applicable to your degree

Still want your AS degree? • Students can transfer credits from UMD back to CSM to complete the requirements for an AS • AS requires 12 credits of CORE; student transfer 9 to UMD from CSM • AS requires 9 credits of technical electives; students transfer all 9 • Dynamics, Mechanics of Materials, Linear Algebra, &Thermodynamics
