  1. Welcome to the College of Business

  2. Dropped Classes/Schedules Students may have a class or an entire schedule dropped due to: • Not completing a pre-requisite to a course • Failing to have outside transcripts sent to Auburn • Not having a 2.2 cumulative Auburn GPA • Not paying your Bursar bill

  3. 15th Class Day During a Fall or Spring semester, this is the last day to drop a class w/o penalty! This means if you drop a class in between days 1-15, you will NOT receive a ‘W’ and you will receive any applicable refund. Mid-semester This is the last day to drop a course. If you drop a course in between the 16th class day and mid-semester, you will receive a ‘W’ on your transcript and you will NOT be eligible for a refund. Course Drop Policy

  4. Course Drop Policy, continued A course may be dropped after midterm only under unusual conditions such as serious illness of the student, serious illness or death of a member of the student’s immediate family. When approval for dropping the course under such circumstances is granted by the student’s dean, a W may be assigned only when the instructor indicates that the student is clearly passing the course. Otherwise, a grade of WF (Withdrawn Failing) is assigned. Please note that during summer terms, the traditional ‘15th’ class day time period will be different due to the summer terms being shorter than regular Fall and Spring terms. See the College of Business Newsletter for all summer drop dates.

  5. CoB 2.2 Policy • Students must have a minimum 2.2 cumulative Auburn GPA to be eligible to take Business courses. • Any course with the following prefix is considered a ‘Business course’: ACCT, AMLG, ECON, FINC, MNGT, MKTG • Econ 2020 is the only exception.

  6. GAP: Grade Adjustment Policy • May delete a maximum of three (3) course grades of ‘D’ or ‘F’ (including ‘FA’) from the calculation of cumulative GPA. • Grade will remain on the transcript, but a notation will be made stating that the GAP has been invoked. • Required courses that are GAP’d must be retaken at Auburn University. • Once the GAP has been invoked, neither the grade nor the credit cannot be restored. See the AU Bulletin for more information on the Grade Adjustment policy

  7. Seeing your advisor • Make every effort to see your advisor at least two weeks before registration begins Normal Registration Periods for AU students: Registration for Spring term begins every October Registration for Summer AND Fall terms begins every March • Always bring a picture ID. You will not be able to see your advisor without it.

  8. Your PIN • Treat this like your ATM/Debit card PIN • If someone gains access to your student ID number and your PIN, that person has total control over your AU accounts

  9. E-MAIL Always read your e-mail daily and respond to it! E-mail is the official means of communication at Auburn University.
