The Underdogs. Summary About Book. In my opinion I thought The Underdogs was a very good book to read. There was a lot of sport action on every single page. The main character Will is in almost in all of the scenes in the story . There are a lot more books by Mike Lupica to read. 1.

  2. Summary About Book • In my opinion I thought The Underdogs was a very good book to read. There was a lot of sport action on every single page. The main character Will is in almost in all of the scenes in the story. There are a lot more books by Mike Lupica to read.

  3. 1 • Will and his dad love football. They always wanted to win a Championship game over Castle Rock, the champions in their league for the past 32 years. Will and their team had only 12 players. Their team name was the Forbes Bulldogs. Forbes was a poor town, but a company helped them buy there helmets, pants, shoulder pads, and Jerseys.

  4. 2 • Will got 12 players on the team, including a girl named Hannah, a friend named Toby, and his best friend Tim. These are the characters that are mentioned in the book quite often.

  5. 3 • After 3 games in the season, Tim moved to Arizona and Chris Accorsi on the team got a broken ankle and they only had 10 players. When Chris got the broken ankle, he was out for the rest of the season.

  6. 4 • Will and his team at the end of the season had 6 wins and 2 losses. They were playing in the championship game with 10 players against Castle Rock. They beat Castle Rock 17-13 and won the league Championship!!
