Facts and figures • Year of foundation : 1367 – it is one of the oldest universities in Europe • Number of students : 35.000 – the biggest university in Hungary • Foreign students : 1000 • Number of lecturers : 2300 • Number of employees : 7500 • 24 own clinics • 2 primary schools • 2 secondary schools

International Activities • 60 Bilateral agreements in and outside Europe for student exchange, teacher exchange, common research projects • Active membership in different university associations ( EAIE, EUA, DRC, Alps- Adriatic Association, Compostella) • Running the European office of the American Association AUDEM • Active participation in mobility programmes ( Erasmus, CEEPUS, SYLFF) • Organizing international days for our partner universities and conferences

International Activities • Offering international scholarships for PTE students and teachers • Preparing Joint-Degree projects • Participation in EU grants – Tempus, Erasmus Mundus, Leonardo, Marie Curie, EU 6 • Have founded a new University Association : University Network of the European Capitals of Culture – the Secretariat is at the University of Pécs

Erasmus Activity • started Erasmus mobility in 1998 • the most active Hungarian university in Erasmus mobility – last year we received the Erasmus Quality Award • at present 270 contracts with 160 universities in 18 countries • all the 10 Faculties are involved, courses are offered in English, German, French, Italian, Spanish and Russian • continuously increasing participation: this year we have 300 outgoing and 133 incoming students • most popular target countries for our students : Germany, Finland, Italy, UK, Netherlands • most students come from Germany, Finland, France, Spain, Portugal • new partner countries : Romania, Turkey

International Programs • Tuition-fee based degree programs • English and German diploma programme in General Medicine, and in Dentistry • English BA programme in Business Administration and MsC in Applied Management • Validated by Middlesex University, London • English and German programmes in Architecture and Civil Engineering • English BA programme in Psychology • German BA programme in Kindergarten teaching • Central European Studies , Hungarian Language and Culture
