Cedarville University will be recognized as one of the most influential Christian universities in the 21st century; known for our faithfulness to the authority of the Scriptures, our passion to follow the example of Jesus Christ and our commitment to a strong, rigorous and culturally relevant academic program. We expect our graduates to be known for their personal faith in and love of Christ and service to others. We expect them to change the world in ways consistent with the values of the kingdom of heaven and the example of Jesus Christ. The impact of their leadership will be evident in their homes, businesses, churches, schools, the media, on the mission field, and in areas of public service around the world. The Vision

Developing Hearts for God We will continue our focus on preparing servant leaders who are passionate about growing in Jesus Christ, seeking to live in obedience to the Scriptures, and magnifying God’s glory in every area where they have influence. We will constantly seek to better understand the processes of spiritual development and to create an environment that facilitates spiritual growth.

  5. Developing Minds for Truth As we seek to help each student develop a Christian worldview, we will continue our emphasis on the inspiration, inerrancy, authority, and relevance of God’s Word to all areas of life and intellectual inquiry, focusing on both the written Word and the Person of Jesus Christ.

  6. Developing Friends for Life We will continue to place high priority on the value of community and relationships. We will recognize our responsibility to build up other members of the body of Christ and to care for any neighbor in need.

  7. Engaging in Service for Eternity We will continue to recognize that a strong academic program equips students to significantly impact their world and its culture for Jesus Christ. As a university and as individuals we will seek to be salt and light in our world’s communities and institutions.

  8. Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life--in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing. But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service coming from your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you. So you too should be glad and rejoice with me. Philippians 2:14-18
