  3. The Course Consists Of Two AQA Modules • Comp3– Exam – Theory – May/June 2013 • Two and Half hour exam • Theory starts today!! • Comp4– Coursework – April 2013 • a 400 TO 600 Page Report ! • Coursework starts today!!

  4. COMP4 – Coursework – April 2011 COMP4 is very different from COMP1, 2 and 3, and in fact most other A levels. You are independent developers. My role is not to teach but to tutor and guide, what does this mean ?? If I have to give you any extra help over the above I have to declare it, at which point the marks automatically drop, the severity is dependant on what AQA feel about the help you were given!!

Summer Task - Analysis • You need to FIND / CHOSE and Interview your Sponsor before the term ends! • I have to authorise your choice of Sponsor before you interview them, I need to Assess and set the level of complexity for which most of your marks will depend on! • Write your analysis by the end of summer break, in other words, hand in on the first day back!!

  11. We will need to go through much of Comp3 theory very quickly in the next 5 weeks to enable you carry out your Analysis task during the summer. You will have to do a considerable amount of reading and VB practice outside of lesson time this term Most of Comp3 is needed in Comp4

Learning tools and simulators for Colleges and Primary Schools, eg History Revision Game, Geography Simulator, Physics Light and Sound Simulator Portable devices like iPhone, iPad, iTouch, Personal Productivity, Android Tablets, Lab test Equipment Business systems like stock control, HR, sales management, Paper Distribution, School / Club Enrolment, Call Centre Management, Waste Management System Personal productivity like Stock Shares Tracking, Note Taking, Other Interests : Scouts Club System, Archery Club System, Tennis Club system Examples of projects – Focus on Complexity

Declarative Languages • Functional and Logic Programming • Event Driven Programming • OOP – Object Oriented Programming • Describe which of the above Programming Paradigm do the following languages fit: Basic, VB.Net Console, VB.Net Forms, JAVA, COBOL, Pascal, C++/C#, Prolog, Python, PHP • Read the Project Complexity Recomendations.pdf document • Find a suitable project to do by 24th June, Email me your thoughts immediately, we do not have much time! Home work for tomorrow !!!
