A Level Computing – Mr Sabbagh • Lesson Objectives • Understand COMP3 and COMP4 Timeline • Introduction to COMP4 • Finding a “Customer/Sponsor” to sponsor your project • Introduction to Event Driven and OOP

The Course Consists Of Two AQA Modules • Comp3– Exam – Theory – May/June 2013 • Two and Half hour exam • Theory starts today!! • Comp4– Coursework – April 2013 • a 400 TO 600 Page Report ! • Coursework starts today!!
COMP4 – Coursework – April 2011 COMP4 is very different from COMP1, 2 and 3, and in fact most other A levels. You are independent developers. My role is not to teach but to tutor and guide, what does this mean ?? If I have to give you any extra help over the above I have to declare it, at which point the marks automatically drop, the severity is dependant on what AQA feel about the help you were given!!
The 4 big differences between AS and A2 • Independent Problem Solving • Much more theory introduced • Massive amount of coursework • Long and hard exam
