  3. Changes in the EC • In April 2010 Kuo-Wei Wu resigned as an EC member, following his appointment to the Board of ICANN • The EC extends its thanks to Kuo-Wei Wu for his service to APNIC as a member of the EC from March 1999 until April 2010 • Kuo-Wei Wu’s position on the EC will remain vacant until the next AGM (APNIC 31)

  4. Functions of the APNIC EC • Represent the interests of Members in the governance of APNIC • Oversight of the activities of APNIC • To consider broad Internet policy issues for APNIC’s strategic direction • To set membership dues • To endorse the policy consensus toward implementation

  5. EC Meetings Since APNIC 29 Meetings: • 10 March • 15 April • 13 May • 18 May • 17 June • 15 July • 19 August • 24 August (APNIC 30) All meeting minutes can be found on EC web site: http://www.apnic.net/ec

  6. APNIC Policy Endorsement The APNIC EC endorsed the following policies: • 079: Mandatory use of abuse contacts in the APNIC Whois Database • 080: Deprecation of the IPv4 address exchange policy • 082: Removal of Prefix Aggregation criteria for initial IPv6 allocations

  7. Other matters • Monthly review of APNIC Financial reports • Monthly consideration of APNIC operational updates • Appointment of AkinoriMaemura as observer to the NRO EC • Review of progress of office purchase • Review of status of ATO review • Review of India NIR proposal • Review of location for APNIC 30 • Review of APNIC EC election process

  8. 2011 Budget • The EC has commenced the process of determination of the 2011 Budget and Member Fees • The EC is pleased to announce to the members that APNIC member fees for 2011 will be held at 2010 levels

  9. Member Feedback • The EC welcomes comments, suggestions and questions from members, stakeholders and all others with an interest in APNIC’s functions and operations • Membership meetings twice a year • Email exec-sec@apnic.net
