  6. Coastcapital Awards • Deadline April 1st 2012 • 32 Citizenship Awards - $2000 each • Criteria: Leadership & Academics • 16 Standing Tall Awards - $5000 each • Criteria: Overcome significant challenges • Apply online at http://www.coastcapitalsavings.com/awards

  7. Dogwood Scholarship • Deadline March 30thto Mr. Jouzy • 5 students will be awarded $1000 for each category: • Fine Arts • Visual Arts • Athletics • Second Language • See Mr. Jouzy for Application

  8. District Scholarships • Hand in to Mr. Jouzy by March 30th 2012 • Visit http://www.sd36.bc.ca/scholarships/ for a list of scholarships & criteria • One student per school will be chosen for each district scholarship

  9. Public Guardian Assistance Fund • Deadline April 15th • Criteria: Must have been a permanent • Application found at http://www.trustee.bc.ca/services/estate/edu_assistance.html

APEGBC Post Secondary Scholarships • Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists Foundation • Criteria: Scholarship selection is based on Grade 12 academics, extracurricular activities, references, financial need, and the student’s written statement outlining reasons for entering the profession.

Grade 12 Essay Scholarship • Deadline April 10th 2012 • The winner will receive $1000, and the five finalists will receive $200 each • The topic for the 2012 Grade 12 Essay Scholarship is "How would personalizing learning help students increase their success in school and later in their careers and life?" • Application form may be downloaded at http://www.bcssa.org/scholarships.html

Honey Hooser Scholarship • Deadline May 4th 2012 • http://www.surrey.ca/city-services/805.aspx See Mr. Jouzy starting April 15th for Application • $500 to be awarded to arts student or a student interested in arts and crafts • An additional $500 award to the Peace Arch Weavers and Spinners Guild.
