  1. Why and how to be conclusive

  2. Job of the teachers is not easy... • Some of our colleagues are envy • Project and experiential learning is great, but people do not know it or they do not accept it • Standing on our own ideas is very difficult, if we are the only with them • It is difficult to simply describe the progress in our work • What to do with the nervosity? • How to argue effectively? • When is the good time to react and when it is not? • ...

  3. Verbal communication – you should not forget... • AIM – make it clear on the begining of the speach • ORDER – put your ideas into the order, the audience will understand easier and the order will lead you • STYLE – control the lenght of your sentences. Use short ones. Eliminate useless information. • THE WORDS – be aware of using cliché and useless words – of course, in fact, generally... • TUNE – control the melody, rhytm and tune of your speach

  4. Tips for the „verbal suicide“ • TOO CATEGORICAL - sentences of the type „that means...“, „the interpretations of this fact is only...“ – too strict • PHRASE OF THE BANCRUPCY – sentences like „I have not much to offer...“, „what I am talking about is not very important or new...“, „most of this information is not exactly for you...“ • WEAK WORDS – the constructions you want to miss the confrontation – „that could mean...“, „it could be commented as...“ (not personal ideas) • APOLOGY WORDS – maybe, I dare say, likely...

  5. Defects in „paraverbal“ communication • monotonous – abases attention • too fast speach – declines understanding • loud breathing – acts as you are nervous • high voice – difficult to listen • weak voice – the audience must heavily listen, that makes people tired • bad articulation – declines understanding and takes away attention from the content • word „cotton“ – repeating words like „ehm“, „like“, „that“, „of course“, „in fact“ disturbs and makes the feeling the speacher´s skills are not very rich

  6. What people dislike in your non verbal communication • - casualness, comatoses, pounding up with the fingers or legs, rolling • - big guesture • - touching your face • - too big attention on your image • - fixing your image while talking

  7. Concious presentation • While standing, stay still. Burden both your legs equally. Do not be too straddled, might seem agressive. • Do not change your position very often. Shows your impatienty, uncertainity and nervosity. • Crossed hands looks dismissive. • While sitting on the chair, use just a half of the seat. Do not put your legs under the chair and do not round them around chair´s foots. Put your foots on the ground. • While talking to someone look into your partner´s eyes, if you talk to more people, look into eyes of most of them. Do not forget about individually seating people. • If you want to end the interview, avert your eyeview off your partner after your answer. • Attention! Do not be nervous of these suggestions. No not panic doing sometjing „forbidden“. Fast and strange changes makes your words and the whole speach doubtful.

  8. Concious presentation • Start talking after getting to the place of speach and being calm and concentrated • Move in the conformity with the speach • Make people part of your presentation, move towards to them, if it is possible • Smile – anytime it is possible 

  9. Argumentations – the discussions topics • The short shirts are better than the longer ones • Patient should know his/her diagnosis, no matter how serious it is • Blue is better than green • People who talk the jokes about the blondes should be punished • People listening heavy metal are fools • Do not allow the ugly people walk on the streets • Double income for the teachers! • Put the computer with internet access to every household for free

  10. Argumentations – the discussions topics • Every marriage should have the pre-marriage contract • Smoking must be forbidden in the restaurants • Restore the death punishment again • Censorship is good, free minds dangerous • Beer is healthier than wine • Let´s legalize the Class B drugs • Let´s allow polygamy • Faithlessness should be punished by imprisonment

  11. Argumentations – the discussions topics • Apple must be eaten completed, with the core • Banana must be eaten from the top • Let´s wear only branded cloth • Being vegetarian is not healthy • Cats are better than dogs • It is more difficult for the girls • Homeless people are poor • Brunettes are smarter than blondes • Life without mobile phone is not life
