  5. American Revolution • Colonists had thrown off the yoke of Great Britain and now are free country • French had helped and take ideas of liberty, fraternity, and equality back to France.

National Assembly • Representatives of each estate met to fix the economic situation • The estates were not even in representatives which affected voting • Swear oath to meet until decision is reached- Tennis Court Oath • Peasants stormed the Bastille and king’s authority collapses • More rebellions begin- Great Fear
