  2. Company Profile • Established in December 1994 • Based in Dumfries, South-West Scotland • Independent, privately-owned company • Currently employs 35 staff, including qualified and experienced cataloguers and librarians

The Role of BDS in the Market • BDS was established to provide a service to the library supply and library market • BDS translates trade information into a format that can be used in libraries • BDS aggregates and adds value to publishers’ and film distributors’ information • BDS eliminates the need for re-keying and modification of trade data
