Proper Nouns • A proper noun names a specific person, place, thing or idea. • Begin a proper noun with a capital letter, and capitalize each important word. • Examples: Harry Potter George Washington Nile River Jonas E. Salk Middle School

Plural Nouns Rule Add –s to most singular nouns. bell = bells book = books
Plural Nouns Add –es to nouns that end in s, sh, ch, x, and z. lunch = lunches dish = dishes
