  1. My Walk Across America By Nolan Marks Brust/Higgins 11/16/09

  2. November 16, 2009 9755 Weathertop Lane Chagrin Falls, OH 44023Mitchell/Dad, Hey Dad, it’s me, Nol; I wanted to tell you about this idea that I am having. Over the next year or so, I will be walking across the United States. I want to explore different places and cities of our nation. I want a new beginning. I know that something like this idea can broaden my horizons and take me to the place I need to go. I would like to start up in Maine. I have heard so many amazing things about the state, and I really want to experience what it is like for myself. After Maine, I would like to walk towards Atlanta, Georgia. I have always wanted to visit the city of Atlanta. I have seen pictures and heard stories about Atlanta, and I think it would be a great place to visit and experience first hand. After that, I would like to make my way over to Knoxville, Tennessee. After you and Mom took a trip to Knoxville, it seemed like you talked about the city for months. I would like to get a taste of the excitement in the city that you two love so much. It seems to me that it could be a wonderland of some sort.To continue my journey, I plan to walk to Salt Lake City, Utah. I want to see Utah for myself because it seems like a place that I would enjoy seeing before I pass away. I have seen the city from an airplane window and I could only see how beautiful it was. Now that I have the opportunity, I want to see how truly special the state is. After Utah, I would probably walk my way down to Texas. However, Dallas would be the only city I would like to tour because it has been a place I have always dreamed of going to. I’ve been a Cowboy’s fan my whole life, and I would really love to see a game. But, there is only one place that would be the perfect city to end my trip, which is Sedona, Arizona. Sedona is a place of beauty and Zen that brings anyone’s mind, body, and spirit together into one. I think that Sedona is a place that everyone should visit before they can’t make the trip anymore. After Sedona, I am unsure what I would want to do, but I know that I would like to do this walking adventure. I want to do something different and inspirational. This is my calling to do something memorable and great, and I’m going to answer! Wish me luck! Sincerely, Nol

  3. Today I will be going to Sedona, Arizona. Sedona is a place of mass beauty. I found out with my visit there are many interesting things about this place, such as it is 4,440 feet above sea level, it was founded in 1902, and it includes many Vortex spots all around Sedona. People say they can feel the energy from these Vortex’s change their life, hopfully they can help me change mine. Sedona http://abqstyle.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/sedona-arizona-2.jpg

  4. Atlanta • Atlanta has always been a place that I have wanted to visit. I have always wanted to spend time there and now I new I could. When I went to Atlanta I learned many news thing. I learned about how Martin Luther King JR was born there and started his civil rights movement there. I also learned about how Atlanta has 32 streets named “Peachtree”, and I also learned about the 41 public golf courses in the city. I knew I had to get a round in before heading off to my next destination. http://lakeswaysfamily.com/yahoo_site_admin/assets/images/atlanta-skyline-night-b.23280542_std.jpg

  5. Knoxville I new that on my trip I had to visit knoxville. It has been a place every one in my family has talked about, it seemed like I was the only one who has not been their. When I arrived in the city I knew what they were talking about. The city was amazing, established in 1792 Knoxville was an awesome place for some history. I found out many things about the city, such as Mountain Dew was created there, it is illegal to lasso fish in knoxville, and that knoxville is home of the “Million Dollar Fire of 1897” which burned down most of Gay street. http://marklipinskisblog.files.wordpress.com/2009/07/knoxville1.jpg

  6. Salt Lake City • One place I new I would make a stop was Salt Lake City. I have heard many great things about Utah and wanted to see them for myself. I heard about the amazing mountains and snowfall around the area. Utah on average has 500 inches of snowfall year round on and around the hills. I definitely should have brought my skies. I also noticed one of the laws in Salt lake city was rather strange, me being an avid violin player, it is illegal to carry a violin in a paper bag in the city. Where else am I supposed to put it? http://library.thinkquest.org/07aug/01022/SaltLakeCity.jpg

  7. Dallas • When I visited Dallas I new their where three things I wanted to see, one being the new Cowboys Stadium, two being the amazing museums in Dallas and three the Dallas library. The library in Dallas hold one of the original copies of the declaration of independence, something I need to see before I leave. I also need to see the new football stadium, that has a net worth of 1.15 Billion dollars. Lastly, the muesems of Dallas are amazing, from the different arts to cultures there is a museum for everything. Dallas is a city I can not wait to see! http://www.trainweb.org/southwestshorts/images/dallas-introsmall.jpg

  8. Augusta • When I visited Maine I new it would be a treat. I have only heard amazing things about it. Though only 10 percent of the state isn't covered by forest but it is more then enough. From the world known sun rises to the amazing ocean venues, Maine is an amazing place. I knew it was a place of relaxation, and it was the perfect place to end this amazing journey. http://www.destination360.com/north-america/us/maine/images/s/maine-bar-harbor.jpg
