Types of Eating Disorders: • Obesity- 20-30% over normal body weight. • Binge eating- compulsive overeating without purging. • Anorexia Nervosa (psychological Disorder)- irrational fear of becoming obese resulting in severe weight loss or starvation. • Effects: Extreme wt loss, no period, lowered heart rate, organs begin shutting down. • Bulimia- overeating and some form of purging or clearing of digestive tract through vomiting or diarrhea. • Effects: dehydration, kidney damage, irregular heart beat, tooth decay, tissue damage of the stomach, esophagus and mouth.
