Title One of the Student Body StatutesDefinitions, Interpretations, and Construction of and Compliance with the Statutes. • The purpose of Title One is to act as an introduction to the Student Body Statutes. • It is the shortest Title and provides a basis for the structure and purpose of the Statutes. • According to Title One, the Table of Contents of the Student Body Statutes shall be as follows: • Title I (100-199) Definitions, Interpretations, Construction and Compliance with the Statutes. • Title II (200-299) Membership, Powers, and Purpose of the Student Body. Rules pertaining to all branches and entities of Student Government. • Title III (300-399) The Executive Branch. • Title IV (400-499) The Legislative Branch. • Title V (500-599) The Judicial Branch. • Title VI (600-699) Student Organizations and Extra Curricular Activities. • Title VII (700-799) Elections Code. • Title VIII (800-899) Finance Code. • Title IX (900-999) SGA Bureaus. • Title X (1000) SGA Agencies • Title XI (1100) SGA Affiliated Projects.
Title One of the Student Body StatutesDefinitions, Interpretations, and Construction of and Compliance with the Statutes. • The Student Body Statutes shall be formatted as so: Title IV Title Name Chapter 400 Chapter Name Chapter 400.1 Chapter Subsection A. Subsection 1. Subsection a. Subsection • The following are considered major offices and shall be required to take 6 credit hours during the Fall and Spring and 3 credit hours during any one summer semester. Major office holders may go on a leave of absence during the summer. • Student Body President - Campus Rec. Board Members • Student Body Vice President - Supreme Court Justices • Student Body Treasurer - University Defenders • Student Body Chief of Staff - General Counsel • Student Body Attorney General - Clerk of Courts • Directors of Agencies, Bureaus, and Aff. Projects - Speaker of C.O.G.S. • Senators - Supervisor of Elections • Union Board Members - Deputy Supervisor of Elections • Major office holders must meet the academic requirements set forth in the Student Body Constitution.
