  2. A collaborative art project that: • Introduces children to the key stories of the bible (AT1 Learning about religion) • Adopts a mixed media approach • Must incorporate children’s reflections and thoughts (AT2 Learning from religion) • Is archived on the web and displayed in school

  3. At its simplest the exhibition would include 50 dioramas For example of children’s work visit:http://www.exeterccyp.org/schools/100-minute-bible/

  4. Moses and the burning bush

  5. The Good Samaritan http://www.teachers.tv/video/22291

  6. Children could also make their own match box versions to take home and play with For clear lidded boxes @ £2 eachhttp://www.boxmart.co.uk/category.aspx?Catid=12

  7. This project could be extended to include; textiles, sculpture, comic strips, animation, drama, music and dance

  8. The giving of the Law

  9. Wise and foolish builders http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26ROlcl0kec

  10. The LEGO Nativity http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j5Dhlnau4k0

  11. Stop animation Nativity http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJJ7D7elitI

  12. The process is as important as the finished project • You will need to agree coverage and opportunities to share the learning • You could work in year groups or family groups • You could also draw on expertise outside the school to help you • Curators • Artists

  13. This is a project that could be extended over time. • Perhaps separate into Old and then New Testaments • You may need to stagger project or borrow resources if using multimedia • You could then use work as a stimulus in Collective Worship

  14. I would recommend using BLINGIT! software to help superimpose children onto backgrounds e.g. For tableaux comic strips. http://www.vertustech.com/blingit/
