Pathologie très rare dont la littérature n’a rapporté jusqu’à maintenant qu’une dizaine de cas isolés. • La circonstance de découverte survient dans la majorité des cas suite à un traumatisme direct du genou. • Ossification exagérée d’un fragment osseux arraché au niveau du pole inferieur de la rotule. • Malformation congénitale passée inaperçue.

L…. âgé de 27 ans, sportif de loisir, tableau de genou gauche douloureux chronique. • L’examen initial: masse de consistance dure infra patellaire gauche faisant 4x5 cm de diamètre, indolore à la palpation, mobile par rapport au plan superficiel et profond et dépendant de la mobilité du quadriceps.
