Introduction: This Webquest is designed to give the students of 10th grade World History Classes the freedom to study an individual piece of Renaissance art and decide whether it is a true representation of the Renaissance period as we have previously defined in class. Go Back to Table of Contents
Task: Your goal is to: • Fill out a worksheet on a piece of Renaissance art while following the webquest activity. • produce a brief presentation (3-5 minutes) on your analysis of a piece of “Renaissance” Art Go Back to Table of Contents
Process: Step 1- Browse through the art work provided on the resource links and select one piece of art use. Step 2- Inform the teacher of your choice and get approval. Step 3- Consult your notes from class on the Renaissance and determine whether the piece you chose fits the definition of Renaissance Art. (Do this by completing the worksheet provided.) Conclusion: • Ask the class if there are any disagreements among the arguments presented. • Each disagreement will be addressed which may lead to closing discussions. • Additionally, the class will be asked which piece of art is their favorite piece and why. Finally, the class will be asked to vote on the piece of art that serves as the best example of Renaissance art and explain why. • The votes will be counted and one piece of art will be selected for the on the represent this era of history. • Go Back to Table of Contents
