Trip Highlights • Travel by BC Highway 3 – habitat diversity • Visit spotted owl habitat in Skagit Valley • Visit “pocket desert” – home to 33% of BC’s threatened and endangered species • Examine protected areas and threats in grasslands, riparian, and shrub steppe habitats • Vineyards, flood control, fire suppression • Visit an organic fruit farm • Nighttime owling, other wildlife watching
