  4. Programme Overview

  5. Readings • Two per term • One will be Pedagogy based (probably based on Inquiry) as that is the context for most schools within the Cluster. • One will be ICT based • These are designed for Principals to use as a reflective reading with teachers as part of your P.D. programme – probably at staff meetings

  6. Workshops Term One • Inquiry Process – Basics Term Two • Skills e.g. thinking, researching, questioning etc Term Three • Strategies e.g. M.I., Blooms, 6 Thinking Hats etc Term Four • ICT integration – sharing sessions for teachers

  7. Keynote Speaker • Tony Ryan – 29 March – Queenstown – Thinking Classrooms, Emotional Intelligences etc • Kath Murdoch – 16 April – evening session – Inquiry – where to from here • Jenni Wilson – end of Term Two – Inquiry • Jill Hammonds – T3 or T4 – ICT integration

  8. Facilitator Time • This is calculated as ½ a day per FTTE including the Principal. (0.8 FTTE) upwards • Can be used to work 1-to-1, peers, groups, whole staff, teaching students, classes etc • I need to know at least a week before so I can prepare for my sessions at your schools – please ensure this happens so everyone gets the best they can from my time. • I am happy to work in anyway that best suits you and your teaching staff, just ask if you are unsure.

  9. Regional Meetings/Milestones • Director and Facilitator must attend the learning@schools conference each year. • There is one regional meeting each term for the Directors and Facilitator from each Cluster and this year there will be two home group meetings happening for all principals in the clusters (hopefully if the MOE is organised). • Milestone Reports are due into the MOE in June and November this year (there were four last year). Please refer to your Action Plans for details around expectations for these.

  10. Principals’ Workshops • There has been much discussion this year as I have traveled around about the need for workshops for the principals in the Cluster. • I would love for us to discuss this after morning tea as part of our Visioning session, please consider whether this is what you want and if so, what will we cover in these sessions??
