What are Mammals? • Mammals have hair on their skin • Most of the mammals give birth to young alive • Examples of mammals are elephants, lions and tiger • All mammals give birth to their young except platypus and spiny anteater. • Mammals are warm blooded.
Whatare Birds? • Birds have wings to help them fly. • Birds like emus, ostrich and penguin. • The ostrich is biggest of all birds. • Birds are the only animals with feathers. • Examples of birds are swan, owl and sparrow.
What are Fishes? • Fishes have scales as their outer covering. • Fishes have fins to help them swim. • Fishes have gills to help them to breath. • Some fishes live in water and some live in sea. • Most fishes lay eggs.
What are Insects? • Only insects have six legs. • Insects are divided into three parts. • Insects reproduce by laying eggs. • Feelers are found on the head. • A hard outer covering protects the insect’s soft body and gives the insect its shape.
WhatareReptiles? • Reptiles have scales as their outer covering. • Reptiles reproduce by laying eggs. • Most reptiles are cold blooded. • They use their environment to warm and cool their bodies. • Reptiles have an internal skeleton with a backbone.
