Thanks to all those who have supported the team this year. • Sarah, for being so strong and supportive while I was physically away and mentally side-tracked • You supported me, supported the team, invested yourself into parts of the program, and were genuinely apart of the faithful fans at games, both home and away
Thanks to all those who have supported the team this year. • The staff within the District that helps to keep the facilities in great shape and get the team to games: • Bus drivers • Maintenance • Grounds crew (kept the field in great shape)
Thanks to all those who have supported the team this year. • The Athletic Department Administrators • Mrs. Daunai – always with a smile, so helpful • Mr. Schmidt – appreciate your leadership, insight, encouragement, and support by your presence at so many games • Aaron Szura – working with the guys in strength training, pre-season conditioning, always friendly and professional
Thanks to all those who have supported the team this year. • Barb Sepanik – Subway order for away games • Sandy Robbins – Concessions, 50/50 raffle, and so much more • Cheryl Breen – helping with the banquet • Those who helped with T-shirts, transportation, food for games and this banquet, etc., and so many other parents who have done a lot of behind the scenes work and supporting your boys… Thank you!
Thank you also to the other coaches who have invested in these guys. • Youth coaches, winter, spring and summer coached • Marty Moreno, summer camp coach • Tyler Strayer, instruction, taking stats • Coach Sikkenga – too many contributions to mention Thank you!!
Lessons from the season • Lessons from “The Art of Leadership” book
Season Over view Tale of Two “Seasons” • Tough first half of the season • Very challenging scrimmage and non-conference schedule to start with • (faced 3 state Finalists, even more state-ranked teams) • A lot of “experiments” as we figured our identity • Great second half of the season • Upper-classmen stepped up, took initiative • Beat a state Finalist, beat a District champion, 2nd in conference • Won 7 of our last 10 games – so close to going so far
