  2. Introduction 4D ultrasounds: A 4D ultrasound is similar to a 3D ultrasound, but the image shows movement like a video would. So in a 4D sonogram, you'd see your baby doing things in real time.

  3. GE has been the leader in 3D / 4D ultrasound ever since it purchased the Volusia line of ultrasound machines from Madison. Samsung has since purchased Madison and continues to follow GE in second place in providing the best 4D image quality.

  4. Advantages • 4D ultrasound offers real benefits for fetus's assessment prenatal condition. The most benefits of 4D ultrasound could be real time assessment of fetal face, grimacing, breathing movements, swallowing, mouthing, isolated eye-blinking and reveals the direction of the limbs. • 4D ultrasound is more safe than 3D and more effective than 3D.

  5. Purpose 4D ultrasound has recently been introduced in medical practice and complements 2D and 3D examination by obtaining images in real time. 4D ultrasound allows visualization of embryonic movements two weeks earlier than 2D ultrasound.
