CRC: Bangalore Maternity Homes • Issue: Services provided by the Maternity Homes run by the Bangalore Municipal Corporation (used by low income women and children). • Examples of findings: • 70% of patients had to pay for medicine • disposable syringes used in 52% of cases • 43% of toilets clean and usable • Examples of suggested solutions: • Set up a board of visitors (5 - 7 persons doing quarterly review of services • Establish a patient charter (services offered, fees, patient rights, etc)
