The Climate Friendly Parks (CFP) Program, a collaboration of the National Park Service and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, provides national parks with management tools and resources to address climate change. Program approach Develop understanding of CC impacts. Measure GHG emissions. Develop strategies to mitigate emissions and adapt to impacts (CC Action Plan). Share successes and educate the public about what they can do in their own lives The support provided to national parks by CFP includes technical assistance, tools, and resources A collaboration between the National Park Service and Environmental Protection Agency to increase public understanding of the climate change issue and what can be done about it, through educational programs and modeling environmental leadership.
