  20. Goal Ensure all KISD stakeholders are informed of the many exceptional program offerings and their successes through marketing and public relations.

  22. Strategy 1 Enhance partnerships with community stakeholder groups by increasing the frequency of postings in social media and newsletters available in a variety of forms.

  45. Goal To be a district that exemplifies education by empowering our students to achieve excellence.

  47. Strategy 1 Every student will meet with their Academic Team to ensure a culture of support needed for graduation (parents, teachers, community mentors). Academic Teams may consist of students, parents, teachers, counselors and administrators. The intermediate and middle schools currently have academic teams. Note: At the middle and high school, students may have teachers or coaches that they may want to be on their team.

Student Success Plan Handbook The Student Success Plan (SSP) is an individualized student driven plan that will be developed to address every student’s needs and interests to help every student stay connected in school and to achieve postsecondary educational and career goals. The SSP will begin in the kindergarten and continue through high school to provide the student support and assistance in setting goals for social, emotional, physical and academic growth, meeting rigorous high school expectations, and exploring postsecondary education and career interests. The Student Success Plan includes supporting structures such as student portfolios, establish meeting protocols, ensure commitment of academic team, and record academic/personal goals should be following the student from grade to grade for every school year.
