AIMS OF THE WP • To investigate the role of decision support tools (DSTs) in desertification policy and management organisations. • To determine under what conditions decision support tools (DSTs) are useful to desertification policy and management organisations. • To design user interface for DESURVEY System

OBJECTIVES • To find out potential end-user organisations. • To assess the actual role of DSTs in those organisations. • To identify activities organisations are engaged in. • To investigate the ‘usefulness’ of DSTs used in organisations by: • Improving organisational effectiveness. • Improving organisational efficiency. • Providing ‘high quality information’. • Being functional.
