Decision Making Techniques! • Self Assessment- Looking at yourself ; your motivations, values, interests, personalities and skills • Career Exploration- Looking at multiple careers and focusing on a group • Networking- going into the field and meeting people in the field you have interest in ( reality check)
Questions to Ask Yourself ! • What IS a goal ? • What are your goals ? • A Long term goal contains a multiple short ones… • How did you come to your goals ?
What’s Next ! • What stands between you and your goals, what are obstacles that are currently in your life and how can your remove them ? • What are the steps will you need to take to accomplish your goal ? • What do you need to accomplish your goals ( resources)
Making the Commitment • Time to prepare the one year plan • You need multiple small goals to complete a large, you want to divide difficult things into small steps so they can be easier to handle
