  4. Issue Financial obligations are the biggest issue for the Texas Boys Ranch • Everyday expenses can be extensive • They also have proposed improvements including 2 new cottages, a gymnasium, a library, equestrian facility and a workshop.

Work Required to Apply VI. Six Good Foundations a. Option one (best option) i. Background ii. Why it’s best iii. How to apply b. Option two (second best) Etc so on VII. Conclusion (just a feel-good close, summarize best choice in a few sentences, make it clear that you’re done with this project, say you hope the info helps) VIII. Appendix (example forms? Example proposal cover letter? Extra potentially useful stuff for applying to these foundations)

  9. Research • Initial research from Google • Did not find very useful • Foundation Database • Sean went and researched where to find foundations at the TTU library • Further research

  10. Writing • Each member wrote on their two foundations • 3 pages per foundations • Main problem was combining all three into one flowing document

  11. Formatting • To fix the problem, Cory formatted all three the same into one document • The basic format has been Goals Background Financial Status Reasons for choice Application information • Other

  12. Editing • Editing will begin as soon as the presentation is completed. • We will attempt to take advantage of as many resources as possible.

  13. Major design challenges • Coordinating everyone’s writing and working together. • Writing for two audiences
