Tornadoes What effect does it have on us Only about 60 to 80 people every year die because of tornadoes Tornadoes are violent storms that come from powerful thunderstorms. They look like cones or funnels with wind that can reach up to 300 miles per hour The word tornado comes from a 14th sailors word for a violent windy thunderstorms. It may well have come from the Spanish word tronda meaning thunderstorm Tornadoes are most likely to appear in the united States .
Winter storms They get their energy from 2 air masses of different temperature and moisture levels. Winter storms occur all over the world. Winter storms can damage peoples houses and causes roads to close.
