Introduction • If you spare a couple of hours every week to volunteer with refugee individuals and families to show them the way to offices, schools, work place, and hospital, you can change their lives and help them rebuild their new home and become independent. At the same time you will have the opportunity to learn their amazing culture. • Preview • Volunteer to be a friend and mentor to a refugee or a refugee family • Volunteer to engage refugee youth in the youth program. • Volunteer to help refugees learn the bus routes.

  3. Claim 1 • Volunteer to be a friend and mentor to a refugee or a refugee family • 1. Visit a refugee family to help them learn the language, read and understand mails. • 2. Visit a refugee and teach them the safety measures and the use of appliances. • 3. Visit a refugee and teach the importance of work, assist in resumes, practice job interviews

  4. Claim 2 • Volunteer to engage refugee youth in the youth program. • 1. Help refugee youth learn about the School system. • 2. Help refugee youth with their homework. • 3. Help create a safe learning environment for refugee youth to ask questions and build social skills.
