How are discussions structured? A “road map” to the RS Preliminary outcomes from the previous RS (Bamako and Asuncion) and Brussels Working Groups Later in the morning today (per WG) 1 Presentation of Working Group topics + brief state of play of discussions + case studies to illustrate the topics Afternoon debates (3 tables per WG) 2 Sub-group debates (World Café Methodology) Tomorrow morning (per WG) Conclusions from WG1: reporting back from the 3 discussion tables by table hosts + consensus-building on main messages to Wg3 3 Iterative process Tomorrow afternoon (workshops) WG3 debates in 3 workshops 4 5 RS conclusions (reporting back from Wg1, 2 & 3) Tomorrow evening (RS formal 6 Drafting of RS report by TA+ on-going discussions via blog + forthcoming sessions in Brussels & ENPI RS + Final Conference Once the RS comes to an end
About the World Café Methodology (WCM) Table 1 • It’s an iterative conversational process (on the basis of a number of conversational rounds); • It allows to build on the advantages of “coffee-time” discussions; • Conversations link, build on each on the and spiral up as people change tables, cross-pollinate ideas, and discover new insights into the questions • Everyone gets a chance to discuss all the topics within the WG.
