8. While paying MO to a Pensioner, is there any special procedure to be followed? Postman should give a certificate on the back of the acknowledgement of MO that the Payee is alive on that day.
9. While delivering RL to an illiterate, obtaining the signature of the independent witness is compulsory? No. But, signature of the addressee should be attested by the Postmen in Delivery Slip.
10. Insured article addressed to Minor, to whom it should be delivered? Should be delivered to the Minor in the presence Parents or Guardian and the signature of the Minor should be attested by the parent or Guardian .
11. MO payable to Minor aged about 15 years, to whom it should be paid? Should be paid to the Minor if he is capable of understanding the transaction.
12. Postman of ‘X’ SO paid one MO to a person with out hands by obtaining his left leg thumb impression? Is it correct? No. It should be paid to the care taker of the payee and the signature of the care taker should be attested by an independent witness.
