History of Project (cont.) • RFP sent out by OIT in September 2005 • Core group to evaluate proposals • Volunteers recruited from Webstats list • After review, the product Sawmill by Flowerfire was selected
Benefits of using Sawmill • Share and compare statistics across the University • Provide valuable detail about Web sites • Who is visiting site • What they’re looking at • When they’re visiting • How long they stay • Where did they come from • What browsers they’re using
Status of Project • OIT setting up hardware and software • WebStats Core Group developing procedures for participation • Pilot groups by March/April 2006
