Purpose: To carefully and accurately measure the incidence and extent of poverty in Nigeria, specifically by region for targeting and policy purposes Explanation: Regional disparities Purpose of the Measure Unit of Analysis Household Explanation: Ideally, the individual would be the unit of analysis. Due to data constraints and variables which stem from intra-household relations, our measure will use the household.
