  2. JUST THE FACTS! • Birthday: March 10, 1954 • 7 lbs, 7 oz and 21” long • Born in Yakima, WA • Moved to Sacramento, CA at the age of 15 months. • 2 older sisters, Margaret and Elizabeth • 1 older brother, Robert (called Mac)

  4. My Family History • The name McLean comes from Scotland • I also have Danish (Blohm), English, and German in my background • My Great Great Grandfather, who came from Scotland, was murdered in the California Gold Rush

  5. My Name: Virginia/Ginger • Virginia is of Latin origin and means a maiden or virgin. • I prefer my nickname Ginger. • Ginger is an English name meaning pep and vigor, and liveliness. • Ginger refers to the root used as a spice.

  6. MY FAVORITES • FOOD: Pork Chops! • MUSIC: John Denver • SPORT: Tennis • SONG: “Ebb Tide” • MOVIE: “Sound of Music” • BOOK: God Is Closer Than You Think • HYMN: “God of Our Fathers”

  7. The family is all together! Stockings in the morning for everyone, even the adults. Presents opened. A big dinner with birthday cake for Jesus. Hours and hours of games played with family and friends. Christmas Eve candlelight the night before! Pippernutters to eat! Favorite Holiday: Christmas

  8. MY DREAM JOB My dream job would be to create and design education games for teachers. The teacher would give me the information they want the student to learn, and I would make a game to learn it!

  9. MY FAMILY NOW • I married Rick Jay Rembold on July 9, 1983. • Son Jon Jedediah born on April 24, 1985. • Son Luke McLean born on April 14, 1987. • We live in Baker City, Oregon.

  10. My Hobbies • Gardening • Baking • Reading • Computer Photography • Hiking and Camping

  11. A Favorite Family Activity • TENNIS! Jed and Luke began playing while I was coaching at Baker Middle School. • We traveled as a family often during their high school years to participate in tournaments throughout the Northwest.
