  3. Service Requirements • Juniors and seniors complete ten hours MINIMUM of Christian service during the first semester. • Freshmen and sophomores complete ten hours MINIMUM of Christian service during the second semester.

  4. Choosing a Service Site You must work through a non-profit charitable organization. Some examples: • Aid For Friends • Friends of Pennypack • Habitat for Humanity • Immaculate Mary Home • Special People in the Northeast

  5. Parish Opportunities • Cantor • CARES after school program assistant • CCD assistant teacher • CYO coach • Elderly homebound visitor • Lector • Teen liturgy planner • Usher

  6. Too busy during the school year? • You have the option of completing your 10 hours minimum of Christian Service during the summer before it is due. • Sign up in the Main Office to have the service pre-approved by a member of the Theology Department.

  7. Are you a Procrastinator? • You might have a problem. • Christian Service hours not completed + required paperwork not submitted to your Theology teacher by the due date = Christian Service Summer School.

  8. Christian Service Summer School • It’s held in June. • You pay $50 and get to wear your school uniform. • You complete 10 hours in class. • You work 10 hours in the field (weeding). • Sounds fun.
