Choosing a mentor • Most importantly - Decide what you need in a mentor - what skills would you like to develop • Research - find out what the prospective mentor is like. What is his or her communication style? Ask others for their insights. Get testimonials from people they have mentored before. • Credibility – choose someone who has got to where you want to be and who inspires you. • Respect and Trust • Try a few! • Have an agreement!
