Short Form Contracts • Up to $4,999.00 each state fiscal year (July 1-June 30). • VOSP provides a stipend of $700/day for a Lead Instructor, and $600/day for a Co-Instructor. • Can teach any CPS related course: • CPS Technician (up to 4 days) • Renewal (1 day) • Update (6 CEU’s) • Special Needs or Instructor Development Courses (up to 2 days) California CPS Technician Training System Changes – April 2014

VOSP will support 1-3 instructors, after host organization pays for 1st instructor. • Thus with a 10 person class, VOSP will support 1 instructor. • Always a 1-5 instructor-to-student ratio. • Fill out a std. 204 and get a short form contract in place for each instructor. • Plan for at least 8 weeks before intending to teach. • Submit a training application to VOSP for the type of training with all the names of the instructors. • Plan to submit this at least 8 weeks in advance, especially if you don’t have a short form contract in place and if it’s a CPS Technician course. CPS Technician Training, 3-4 day Training Instructor Stipend Schedule • Lead Instructor $700 per day of training • Co-Instructor $600 per day of training • Minimum of 1:5 (teacher:student ratio) First, instructors must be paid by other resources.  • VOSP will support 2stinstructor with a minimum of 10 students, 3ndinstructor with a minimum of 15 students. Documentation required for payment: • STD 204 (VOSP paid instructor must complete one for each training) • Class Roster If POST is offered: • All Instructor Resumes (If resume not on file already) • POST Course Roster, Safe Kids Course Roster with Test Scores, and Safe Kids Finalization Page to verify teaching hours.
