DancesinIceland • Icelander´s don´t have their own official folkdance • Despite that they have been dancing for a long time, and the oldest written source is from the year 1106. • The dance that Icelanders danced at that time is known as Vikivaka dances, and is originated from other countries. • Because of this we decided to show and teach a very popular dance from last year, which many children in Iceland know and love dancing to day.
Thedance • This dance was created of Icelanders how where teaching Zumba and is written after a very famous children song named: • I´m the happiest dog in the whole world • Because the target group is children it´s fairly easy and fun to learn.
The text • The word´s that occurs most frequently in the song is translated in English as: I´m the happiest, happiest, happiest dog in whole world I´m pat on each day, and I´m digging it. I´m the happiest, happiest, happiest dog in whole world The world threw me a bone, and I´m going to chew on it.
This is how you should dance.... • These children are 5-6 years old http://youtu.be/Z5K-TW9aYZQ
