  2. Jakarta – Indonesia’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate increased in 2014. Unaffected from the January 2014 revised rate, and up 2.0 percentage points from 9.3 percent a year ago. The city’s latest rate was the lowest since 2006 when it was 7.0 percent. There were thousands and thousands jobless Indonesians out of a labor force of almost a billion. The country’s unemployment rate was increased this year.

Jakarta’s seasonally adjusted total employment was about 8 million this 2014, a decrease of thousand jobs over some months. As compared to last year, the number of jobs in the state was down by at least 200,000, a decrease of some percent. Generally, the number of jobs was down by some percent over the year. Jakarta’s annual job growth rate has declined since last year.
