  1. Biofertilizers Importance Biofertilizers are the substance that contains microbes, which helps in promoting the growth of plants, trees by increasing the supply of essential nutrients to the plants. It comprises living organisms which include mycorrhizal fungi, blue-green algae, and bacteria. Mycorrhizal fungi preferentially withdraw minerals from organic matter for the plant whereas cyanobacteria are characterized by the property of nitrogen fixation. How do biofertilizers enrich the fertility of the soil? ... Thus, they are extremely beneficial in enriching the soil with organic nutrients. Many species of bacteria and cyanobacteria have the ability to fix free atmospheric nitrogen. Rhizobium is a symbiotic bacteria found in the root nodules of leguminous plants. A Bio-Fertilizer is a substance containing live microbes which are utilized to increase the supply and availability of primary nutrients (N, P and K) to plants, seeds or soil. The various natural processes such as nitrogen fixation, solubilizing phosphorus, etc. are adopted by microorganisms to promote plant growth, treat seeds and enhance soil fertility. Expanding global agrochemicals industry coupled with increasing footprint of biological plant growth enhancers or stimulators are primarily catalyzing the Global Bio-Fertilizers market. In addition to this, the declining arable land on account of excessive synthetic fertilizer consumption is further augmenting demand for Bio-fertilizers. Moreover, shifting consumer preference for organic food, rising awareness about organic farming among farmers and low prices of bio-fertilizers are anticipated to strengthen the Global Bio-Fertilizer market over the span of next 9 years. Biofertilizers are organisms that enrich the nutrient quality of soil. The main sources of biofertilizers are bacteria, fungi, and cynobacteria (blue-green algae). The most striking relationship that these have with plants is symbiosis, in which the partners derive benefits from each other.
