Meetings/Representational activities • January 2010 – Cambridge – SCAR Strategic Planning Meeting. • Attended with Helen • Drafted first version of SCADM input to Strategy • April 2010 – Paris – PIC Workshop and Steering Committee meeting. • Explained PIC ideas to invited stakeholders including WDCS. • Solicited support/feedback • April 2010 – Paris – SCCID • Committee will deliver report to ICSU on how ICSU should position itself with respect to data management. • Also an oversight role/advice to WDS Reform process.

Between March 2009 and June 2010 participated in PIC Steering Committee telcons and out-of-session activities. • May 2010 – Participated in meetings of AAA re data management plans. • June 2010 – Oslo – IPY Conference/Launch of PIC. • Participated in launch • Chaired data session at conference. • Met up with SCADM reps re DIMS • Participated in PIC National Data Centre exhibition • Post June have been in discussions in Australia regarding SOOS. • Australia will establish the SOOS Secretariat. Key Events • Helen and Shul both resigned from SCADM • Web site re-established by Ira (Netherlands) • Bruno has recruited a programmer and begun ANTABIF activities • GCMD has made a temporary facility to allow DocBuilder users to badge data as belonging to the PIC • Australia has developed a PIC Cloud Repository service

Key Events Cont. • Several new SCAR programs starting up: • AAA (Astronomy) • SERCES (Solid Earth Response and influences on CryosphericEvolution) • Replacements for EBA Outcome of This Meeting • National commitment s to roles in unpacking the DIMS • Liaison Officers assigned to new programs (and some existing ones) • Election of new Officers for SCADM (and SCAGI)
