Reminder – If the meeting is a Triennial, the “Last Eval” date should also match these dates.
Indicate the “SpEd Type” (RSP, Speech Only, SDC, DIS Only) • Indicate “Severely Disabled” (Severe, Non-Severe) AND
Initially, this needs to be completed for all students on your caseload. • After this initially entry, you will only need to update this when there is a placement change, an initial IEP, or an interim IEP.
How to document BIPs on the IEP
Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP) are no longer mandated to be on the service page of the IEP. For MOST BIPs, the only documentation required will be the check box on the “Special Factors Page” and the Behavior goal on the “Goals Page”. *Reminder – Be sure to upload a copy of the BIP as an attachment on the IEP in SEIS.
If the a service provider is providing behavioral consolation to the team, you may want to consider documenting this in the “Supplementary Aides” section as a support to Personnel.
If the psychologist/behavioral specialist is providing a direct service to the student, the team will want to document this as a service on the IEP. Be sure to check with the service provider how the service should be documented.
Reminder – When doing an addendum, click into the students “Current” IEP.
After clicking the “Affirm and Attest” button, you will be required to indicate the purpose of the amendment. Correction: A change to the electronic copy of the IEP to make it match what was actually on the legal printed copy of the IEP. (Does not require a meeting or signature) Continuation: A continuation of the same meeting that had already been affirmed and attested, but was not actually completed. Amendment:A meeting is being held to make a change to the annual or triennial IEP.
Reminder: There are numerous Training Videos available in the help center and step by step instructions in the FAQ section of the help center.
