  2. INTRODUCTION • The followers of Jesus were deserted.. • The followers of Jesus wondered what are we going to do…. • The followers of Jesus were terrified.. • I have Risen…take hold of me

  3. BROKENESS • Mary/2 Waking to Emmaus - SAD • Peter – SCARED • Followers - SCATTERED • JESUS APPEARED TO THEM…. I have RISEN

  4. SAD • Mary – followed Jesus to the tomb • Two followers – Walk to Emmaus • Jesus appeared to them……I have RISEN • Paul said, “Rejoice and again I say rejoice…”

  5. SCARED • Peter Denied…..Matt26:69 • Disciples……Behind Locked doors John20:19 • Jesus appeared to them… I have RISEN • Jesus said, “Peace be with you”

  6. SCATTERED • The Shepherd stroked sheep scattered.. • The Disciples beside the sea of Galilee…John21:1,2 • Jesus appeared to them.. I have RISEN • Jesus said, “ follow me” John21:19

  7. Conclusion • Remember today there are many challenges that distract us from following Jesus… • Remember today God has given us the resurrection power of Jesus to work God’s will and purpose. • Angel said, He is not here: He is risen, as he said...Let’s take hold of Him
