  3. How does one become an ABGT Academic Staff Member? OR Am I Hired? STEP ONE:Application – Can staff members work effectively online? Computer access is required. Can staff members work independently? STEP TWO:Background Check – Was the form received timely? Is the staff member “permitted” to work with children? STEP THREE:Academic Transcript - Does the staff member have the requisite skills to be considered highly qualified? STEP FOUR:Training/PD Attendance –Is the staff member attentive? Have all documents been submitted timely online? Has the staff member logged on for training?

  6. Who are our academic staff members? Represent more than 95 Universities or Colleges (both public and private – domestic and international)

ABGT Academic Staff Members are MENTOR-EDUCATORS Mentorship is the developmental relationship between a more experienced person and a less experienced person referred to as a mentee or protégé • A wise, loyal advisor, teacher or coach Educatorsare people whose work is to educate others; a specialist in the theories and methods of education, trained in teaching; a teacher. Teacher: In education, teachers facilitate student learning, often in a school, academy or perhaps in another environment such as outdoors, libraries or at a pupil’s home. A teacher who teaches on an individual basis may be described as a Tutor.

Both Public – 99% and Private – 1% • Public clients qualify for FREE tutoring under NCLB • Title I school; tier/stage II and higher • Free/reduced lunch • Often low performers • Emphasis on improving Math & Reading skills • Recognize the importance of building self-esteem & self-confidence

Next Steps… To complete the training process you will need to: Print, review, sign and deliver the Independent Contractors Agreement Review the remaining powerpoint presentations and submit the short quiz that follows each segment. Complete the math quiz and submit the results online. Once all documentation is received by ABGT students may be assigned. Student assignments will be posted to your webpage. REMEMBER….It’s all about the Children!
