FULL SCALE DESIGN PROJECT DESIGN PROCESS STEP 1: CONTACT ME STEP 2: INITIAL DESIGN CONSULTATION STEP 3: SIGN UP! STEP 4: DESIGN! Now that I have a deeper understanding of your design tastes, I will create a complete design that includes the necessary floor plans, elevations, furniture selections, material samples, paint colors and drawings necessary to convey the design to you and any contractors that may be involved in the implementation of the design. If you are happy with my estimate, and would like to work with me, I will draw up a “Letter of Agreement”which outlines the design scope of the entire interior design project. Sign the agreement, send in the deposit, and the design process begins! During the initial consultation, I will meet with you for about an hour to get to know you and your project needs, budget and timelineso that I can provide you with a cost estimate for my services. There is a $75* fee for this meeting. Email me at emhdesign@verizon.net or call me at (508) 272-8661 to tell me more about your project and to schedule an initial design consultation. • FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS • Is a Full Scale Design Project right for me? • When you have a larger project that you need a lot of help with, a full-scale design project is probably the best option for you. Here are some examples of common interior design projects: • Helping you design and choose materials for your dream kitchen or bathroom. • Providing 3D floor plans and furnishing a single room in your home or your entire home. • Picking artwork and accessories to help finish off your room. • Assist you in finding and interviewing contractors. • How Much Will it Cost? • Initial Consultation-$75* • Hourly Rate-$125/hour • Since the scope of each project is unique, the cost will vary based on room size and complexity. Although I generally prefer to bill on an hourly basis, I work with clients in whatever capacity best meets their needs, whether it is on an hourly, project, or retainer basis. • After meeting with you for an initial consultation, I will pull together an estimate for your project. In the estimate, I will provide a general list of all of the tasks that need to be completed (typically by room) along with the number of hours I estimate that it will take to complete each phase of the project. • Estimates do not include costs for materials (e.g. furniture, materials, artwork, accessories) or the cost for contractors to complete any necessary tasks. • *Please note that a trip surcharge may apply to home, business or shopping locations.
