Ancient Egypt. By Kayanna Kayla and Cortez . geography. There's two types of land, the black land and the red land. The black land was on the banks of the Nile and they use it to grow crops. The red land was a desert that protected Egypt from invaders.

  2. geography • There's two types of land, the black land and the red land. • The black land was on the banks of the Nile and they use it to grow crops. • The red land was a desert that protected Egypt from invaders. • They lived halfway in between places where people have lighter skin and half where people had darker skin so they were neither black or white but somewhere in between.

  3. Religion • The ancient Egyptian believed in polytheism the belief in many Gods and goddess. • The ancient Egyptians had as many as 2000 Gods and Goddess. • The consider animals such as the bull the cat and the crocodile • They thought they had three souls the “Ka” the “Ba” and the “Akh”. • after death they removed all internal organs. And mummified the body.

  4. How They Made Money • The Egyptians were the first ones on earth to begin farming. • Around 3000 B.C. they invented the animal drawn plow to make farming easier.

  5. Art/ Music/ Literature • Their language was Relate to Hebrew and Arabic. • They build buildings like the pyramids, how to use a pottery wheel, and carve big stone stautes.

  6. Women’s roles • Girls usually lived at home until about 15-19 years old when they got married. • They also believed in marrying brothers and sisters.

  7. Houses • Their houses were made of mud brick with wooden beams holding up the roof. • It consisted of 1 room which the whole family lived in.

  8. Government • The ancient Egyptians had a monarchy. • A monarchy is a form a government where the head of state is usually ruler until death. • The ruler was called a pharaoh and he owned everything he had the power to tell everyone what to do and they had to do it.

  9. Places they took over • The Levant (modern Israel) • Nubia (modern Ethiopia and Sudan)
