MDGs and RH Advocacy Members of the Coalition are coordinating advocacy around the MDGs by: • Encouraging government statements around RH and the MDGs framework • Supporting the Millennium Project’s “Quick Win” on RH supplies • Sending letter to the Secretary General • Developing an MDGs events calendar • Monitoring the drafts of the Millennium Summit Declaration and influencing the language where appropriate and strategic.

  2. MDGs and RH Advocacy • Upcoming Opportunities: • WHO Annual World Health Assembly – May 16-25, Geneva. Essential List on agenda. • General Affairs & External Relations Council (GAERC) meeting with development ministers – May 23-24, Brussels. Member states to discuss the Commission MDG Package on Aid. • UNGASS on HIV/AIDS – June 2, NYC. • ECOSOC – June 29-July 1, NYC. High level segment on achievement of the MDGs.
