EDTAG PROCESS Eligible employee retrieves the EDTAG Application from HR, (http://hr.mvnu.edu/pdf/APPLICATION%20FOR%20EDTAG.pdf) the Admission Application from the Admissions Office, and completion of the FAFSA. Application for Admission is completed and submitted to Admissions. EDTAG Application is completed and submitted to HR annually including summer for part-time students. If employee is eligible to receive this benefit, an electronic approval is sent to the Employee, Financial Aid, Tuition Liaison and Employee File

  3. Notes - edtag Student must be admitted to MVNU before they can take advantage of this benefit. Approval from Human Resources is required before SFS applied the award. EDTAG Forms must be completed for each academic year as well as for a specific Summer Term

  5. TUITION EXCHANGE Tuition Exchange is an association of colleges and universities offering scholarships to members of faculty and staff families employed at participating institutions. www.tuitionexchange.org

  6. T.e. - WHO Spouse and dependent children of full-time employees with one (1) year of prior continuous service prior to August 1 of the academic year in which the student will enroll. Eligible to attend any of the participating colleges Must be admitted to the institution and granted T.E.

Tuition exchange PROCESS Eligible employee retrieves the Tuition Exchange Application Applications are to be completed no later than December for funding consideration for the next academic year If application is approved by HR, a copy is sent to Employee File and Tuition Liaison If application is denied by HR, a communication is extended to the employee List of participating Colleges can be obtained from www.tuitionexchange.org

Notes – tuition exchange Tuition Exchange Application should not be confused with the Application for Admission Student must be accepted for Admission BEFORE consideration for Tuition Exchange Being admitted to a school does not guarantee Tuition Exchange Requires an annual $35 participation fee

Notes – tuition exchange Tuition Exchange is not always equivalent to Full Tuition Every year the Tuition Exchange Program sets the minimum scholarship amount Schools may award any amount above the minimum Set Rate or minimum changes annually TE is only for full-time students TE is limited to eight (8) full-time semesters

  12. PROCESS – tuition exchange FAFSA must be filed each year as soon after January 1st as possible Schools will contact Cynthia Mauller regarding every student who applies for T.E. Schools will contact students to notify them of their status Most schools do not make T.E. offers until March/April

  13. Council for Christian colleges & Universities (CCCU) • Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU) provides a Tuition Waiver Exchange Program for undergraduate dependents of full-time faculty, staff, or administrators employed at participating institutions. • www.cccu.org

Tuition Waiver Process • Eligible employee retrieves the Tuition Waiver Application • Applications are to be completed no later than December 1st for funding consideration for the next academic year • If application is approved by H.R., a copy is sent to Tuition Liaison who forwards application to institution of choice • Application is reviewed by institution of application and notification of acceptance or denial is sent to Tuition Liaison and Student • List of participating Colleges can be obtained from http://www.cccu.org/students_and_families

  20. Notes – C.C.C.U. tuition Waiver Exchange Program Tuition Waiver Exchange Program does not include room, board, student fees and customary fees other than tuition. Each participating college agrees to accept at least one new student each year Once a student is accepted into the program there is no need to reapply Students are automatically renewed for up to four years if in good standing TWEP is only for full-time students No fees are charged for involvement

  22. Council for independent colleges (cic) CIC-TEP (Council for Independent Colleges-Tuition Exchange Program) is a network of CIC colleges and universities willing to accept, tuition-free, students from families of full-time employees of other CIC-TEP participating institutions. www.cic.edu/TEP

Student responsibilities cic - tuition exchange Program Student applicants are required to submit all financial aid awards to the host institutions (institution student is applying to ) Students are responsible for all non-tuition expenses such as room, board, and fees Students are eligible for CIC-TEP benefits for a total of eight semesters (consecutive or non-consecutive) Being admitted to a school does not guarantee acceptance into CIC-Tuition Exchange Program

  29. USA-Canada Council of education- WHO Children of faculty members and senior administrators who are vice president level (or equivalent). Students must be 23 years of age or younger and classified as a dependent Eligible to attend any of the participating colleges

Notes – usa-canada council of education FAFSA must be filed each year as soon after January 1st as possible Tuition Remission for only the number of hours required for the first undergraduate degree Approval must be obtained every year Students 23 years of age or younger, dependent of full-time faculty member

  34. Notes – usa-canada council of education Students may receive tuition remission at Nazarene Theological Seminary for courses leading to one degree. Students working toward a Doctor of Ministry degree may be up to 26 years of age and married. Tuition waiver is intended for regularly published tuition only, may not be applied for special courses such as workshops, travel courses, or for general or special fees. Scholarship or aid received for tuition will be applied 1st and the balance of tuition will be cared for under the tuition remission program. Priority deadline is March 1st
